I have saved a lot of money by filling my home with unique pieces of used furniture. If you’re someone who loves the “hunt,” then you know the thrill of finding a piece of furniture, loading it in your car, and daydreaming about what needs to be done to make it spectacular. It’s better than chocolate!
But, if you’re someone who doesn’t even know where to begin to look, or even what to do once you do find something, then read on and let’s chat about it.
I love, love, love the Nashville Flea Market! You never know what you are going to find! I go early, with a Starbucks in hand, tennis shoes, T-shirt and jeans, and adrenaline pumping. Good large flea markets, where vendors come from all around, are a treasure trove of finds. Garage sales are also another great place to look for deals. Garage sales take a lot more patience, as you may have a week you don’t find anything at all.
Below are some photos of some finds. Check out my blog for more details on how to achieve the same results on furniture needing revamping.
Coffee table found at a garage sale. $5 (not a typo)
Round coffee table from Nashville Flea Market. $40
How fun is it to find bargains??
