The days of slinking into an X-rated shop to pick up a, uh, personal item or two are becoming as old as a 1970s Playboy centerfold. Now you can pick up a gallon of milk, fill your prescription, grab some laundry detergent and choose from a selection of vibrators at your local mass retailer. Multitasking just got a lot buzzier.
USA Today reports chains including Target, Walmart, Safeway, Kroger, Walgreens and CVS are selling sex toys and, why, yes, some are saying the success of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy is one reason no one seems to think it’s a big deal to find erotic items among the toilet paper and shampoo.
“People are more comfortable than ever talking about vibrators and the idea of having one,” Bruce Weiss, a vice president for Trojan, tells the newspaper. Trojan, by the way, is offering vibrators along with its condoms.
Christian Grey would certainly approve.
