There’s finally a female face on the Facebook board.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Sheryl Sandberg, 42, Facebook’s chief operating officer, is now a member of the formerly all-male board.
“Sheryl has been my partner in running Facebook and has been central to our growth and success over the years,” the company’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, said in a written statement, according to the newspaper. “Her understanding of our mission and long-term opportunity, and her experience both at Facebook and on public company boards makes her a natural fit for our board.”
Now, that’s a status update we’re happy to read.
