Back in sixth grade, we were hiding copies of Forever by Judy Blume under our pillows, so our parents wouldn’t catch us reading the teen sex story. Now, we’re trying to keep our kids from finding Fifty Shades of Grey.
Part of a “triple-X” trilogy by E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey makes Forever look downright innocent. Today reports Grey, together with Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, follows the secrets of Christian Grey, a billionaire with a healthy appetite for sex.
“I downloaded a copy and don’t think I put it down until I finished it, despite what the pilot on my flight to Florida said,” Today supervising producer Joanne LaMarca tells the show. “I can say, along with many other women I’m sure, that reading this book is very good for your marriage!”
And so much cheaper than counseling!
