I've spent the past 12 years writing about fitness, health, nutrition, parenting, and travel for all of those women's magazines you see at the supermarket check-out counter. Before going freelance, I spent about seven years on the editorial side, first as a travel editor at Brides and then as a senior editor at Child Magazine. I've written a couple of books. I've pounded out essays I'm proud of. When I'm not writing and reporting, I'm either conning my kids and husband into running around outside with me, taking some overly demanding exercise class, worrying about the world, or baking.
