Dr. Carin aka TiVo Lady aka Carin Rubenstein has a PhD in social psychology from New York University.  She is the author of THE SUPERIOR WIFE SYNDROME, out in September 2009 from Touchstone, as well as BEYOND THE MOMMY YEARS, published in 2007 by Springboard Press.  She has written for many women's magazines, including Family Circle and Self and New Woman, as well as The New York Times.  She lives in New York with her two (sometimes) boomeranged children, Rachel and Jon, her husband David, and a Jack Russell terrier named Kippy.  She adores her TiVo and can't imagine life without it.
