I am a freelance writer and public speaker who specializes in health and wholeness issues for women. I played tennis at the University of Virginia, and then went on to earn my Masters of Theological Studies from Emory University and my Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the Psychological Studies Institute. I have received training in the integration of psychology and theology and I have a passion for helping women grow through the challenges they face. I am a Board Eligible National Certified Counselor and am pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor. I am the author of Empty: A Story of Anorexia (Baker, 2006). I now live in Evanston, Illinois with my husband, Peter, and our daughter, Shea.
