I've been a Life Coach since 2001. Now, what, you may be asking, is a Life Coach? And that's a good question because there are a lot of people calling themselves coaches for a lot of reasons. Really what I call myself these days is a "cut-to-the-chase" Coach. The kind of people who are attracted to me are those people who have a good sense of who they are and pretty good sense of what they want out of life. They usually have done a lot of personal growth work such as therapy, 12-step work, and all kinds of spiritual spelunking. I come from a place that knows that you already have the wisdom inside of you to lead you where you want to go, I'm just someone who can run along side you giving you support, helping you to be accountable (to yourself) and encouraging you along the way. I've been told I'm one heckuva muse. Start telling me your dreams and I'll come up with all kinds of ideas of how you can make them happen or where you could start exploring.
I'm also a QUEEN of networking/connecting. It's just one of those flukes of how my brain is put together. It probably helped that several of my first jobs starting out required remembering all kinds of people and numbers and facts from working in pathology laboratories with techies, patients and doctors to a world-renowned scientist who was the editor of a respected scientific journal to the publisher of a magazine to recruiting all kinds of IT professionals for 15 years. I have often wondered if I have some autistic aspects to the way I think because when I meet someone and talk with them, in a very short while I'm thinking of people who they need to meet.
I've been happily married for going on 20 years and have no two-legged kids but we do have three dogs and two cats. We love to travel and scuba dive and are blessed to have a close group of friends who we have traveled and dived with since 2000.
