Jeni Hunniecutt prides herself on seeing the world through writer’s lenses. With scrap papers full of characters, memories, and stories hiding in every nook and cranny of her life, she believes the experiences she lives through make the best stories.
Jeni has lived most of her life in southwest Virginia although she was born and spent her early childhood in the Sunshine State of Florida, where a large part of her family still resides. With a Bachelor’s degree in Technical and Professional Communication from King College in Bristol, TN, Jeni has woven her way into the world of communications and has fallen in love with her field of study.
Jeni is currently working on her M.A. in Professional Communication with an emphasis on Speech from East Tennessee State University. She now identities herself as a feminist specializing in ethnographic research. Her areas of interest lie in religious studies and identity formation. Believing that small knowledge is still knowledge, Jeni is aspiring to be the type of researcher and writer who touches the lives of others not only with her own stories, but with the stories of others through her own words.
As the Communications Director at My Lasting Legacy, Jeni uses her organizational and managing skills to monitor systems and correspond with contributors. With a tree of life pendant hanging from her neck, Jeni feels at home working for My Lasting Legacy, a life site that encourages every person in the world to embrace their own individuality and thrive with their own experiences.
