If lawmakers want to make rules about contraception and abortions, then they best take on Viagra, too.
The Daily Beast reports state politicians are responding to recent bills that deal with the reproductive rights of women by pushing their own legislation that would require men who want prescriptions for the little blue pill to hear lectures on celibacy, have rectal exams, provide affidavits from past partners attesting that impotence has been an issue and watch a video that points out all the drug’s side effects.
“We’re talking about it. That’s a start,” Ohio state senator Nina Turner, who has introduced a so-called Viagra bill, tells the site. “… If you want to be preoccupied with regulating women’s wombs, we’re going to do the same thing with men.”
Well played, Senator, well played.
