I know, I KNOW, it’s cold outside. Winter is most definitely upon us, and we must dress accordingly. But here this: If you’re already slipping into what I call Fashion Hibernation, you must stop it immediately. You know what I’m talking about: Fashion hibernation is when you shroud yourself in shapeless layers (of mostly black and brown), hiding your body in a cave of unidentifiable knits (is it a tunic? A sweater? No one knows). It is especially tis the season (when it’s gray and damp outside), to use fashion to lighten and enliven. Keep your chic style alive, I say. Dress like you mean it! Wear color (it’ll boost your mood and brighten your face), embrace a little sparkle (in accessories, in metallic threading woven into knits). Yes, it’s cold outside, yes you want to be practical, but raise your right hand and pledge to look good at all times.
Go! Buy! Be Chic!
