A corset hair braid can be made sweet and delicate by using a wide satin ribbon, or give off some extra edge by using a thin thread. Either way, the choice is yours, and the technique is the same.

This look is totally worthy enough to be your go-to festival style for the season, because not only does it look incredibly cool, it's so insanely simple. Follow along with this YouTube tutorial from Braidsandstyles12 to learn the basics.
Step 1: Braid your hair into two Dutch braids. (Dutch-braiding is similar to French-braiding, you just bring the hair underneath while weaving instead to create the 3D look!). Fasten them both with elastics.
Step 2: Where you want your ribbon to start is totally up to you. Pull it all the way through your braid at the desired starting point and center it on your head.
Step 3: Pull one side of the ribbon over to the other side (bringing it over top of the braid) and weave it through. Do the same thing using the opposite side of the ribbon, bringing it to the other braid. Repeat this step on each side until you get to the end of the braids and fasten with an elastic.
Pro tip: If you're using a smaller thread, weave it through your braid using a bobby pin to help. If using a wide ribbon, you can just use your fingers!
