How to Do an Inside-Out French Braid

Freshen up the classic French braid hairstyle by turning it inside out. This hair tutorial has the secret for creating this edgy look that’s perfect for the beach or a day at a festival. Spoiler alert: You’re only changing one step!

Start off by gathering a section of hair at the top of your head. Just as you would if you were creating a regular French braid, take sections from the outside and pull them in. But instead of crossing the new pieces over, pull them under. With each new section, grab more hair in from the outside. When you get to the end, secure your inverted braid with an elastic band. Feel free to play with this chill style until you have the desired look.
