This braided hairstyle is perfect for a day when you want your hair to look casual and cute. Wear it with a nice long summer dress and some sandals for a relaxed bohemian look, or pull on an oversize knitted sweater over the dress and pair with some low boots for a casual, cool look this fall. 1. Make a basic three-strand braid starting from the front hairline and angling back so it sits flat against your head. Continue braiding all the way down the hair, and secure the end with an elastic band. Gently pull on the strands in the lower half of the braid to create a volumizing effect—but only on the lower strands. You want the top section of the braid to stay tight.

2. Do the same on the other side to create two braids of equal length and thickness.

3. Pull the braids together in the back center and remove the two elastics at the ends.

4. Pin the braids in place with bobby pins. Try to hide the pins under the hair of the braids. Insert the bobby pins downward but slightly horizontally and then upward the same way to make hiding them under the braids easier.

Loosen the ends of the braids to blend them into your hair, and give your final ‘do a spritz of medium-hold hair spray to keep pieces in place. Enjoy your easy braided look!
