Get the Look: Brittany Snow’s No-Makeup Makeup

Heavy makeup not your thing? That’s cool—teal eye shadow isn’t for everybody. But for special events—or even every day—a few products can brighten, smooth, and enhance like you wouldn’t believe.

Check out Brittany Snow’s minimal-makeup look, which she wore to the Art of Elysium Black Tie Charity Gala in Los Angeles. Even for non-makeup wearers, it’s a great way to glam up for big events, job interviews, or any time you want to feel like “You, but better.” Here’s how to get this natural look for yourself.

1. Choose a Natural-Finish Foundation
Foundation doesn’t have to look cakey or mask-like, but it’s indispensable for any event where you’ll be photographed. Pick one that evens skin tone and cuts down on shine while still allowing a bit of your natural skin tone to come through. Try Maybelline Fit Me Foundation for lightweight, breathable coverage and finish with a dusting of loose powder.

2.  Skip the Shimmer
The secret to a no-makeup look is choosing products that don’t have shimmery or frosted finishes. For cheeks, stick to cream blushes, which give a more natural flush. Try Smashbox Blush Rush in Flush, a warm, rosy pink.

3. Enhance Your Natural Features
To pick out each individual lash, try a new mascara with a wand designed to grab even the teeniest strands, like Dior Diorshow New Look Mascara, which has a bisected brush to provide length and fullness to long outer lashes and precise definition to the small inner ones. On lips, skip liner and apply a shiny gloss like Lancôme Juicy Tubes gloss in Pure.
