This latest eyeliner trend will have everyone doing a double take.
The latest eye makeup trend will probably have you inducted into the Magician Hall of Fame (if that's a thing?) once you've mastered it. The appropriately-dubbed invisible or floating eyeliner trend is using negative space to create the illusion of a winged or flicked liner, and it has officially taken Instagram by storm.
The look can be mimicked using concealer or by applying tape diagonally to line up with the corner of your eyebrow and removing it when finished. Ready to try it on your own? Find out which technique works best for you, and prepare to mesmerize your friends!

Step 1: Blend a neutral transition shade into the crease of your eye with a blending brush.
Step 2: Take a slightly darker shade through the crease on top of the transition shade. Repeat two more times using a slightly darker shade each time to create a gradient look on the eyelid. Use the final dark shade to blend into the rest of your lid.
Step 3: Pick a shimmery eye shadow shade of your choice to complement the colors already applied and swipe it over your eyelid.
Step 4: Using a thin, pointed brush, apply concealer where you'd like your "invisible" wing/liner to be
Step 5: Using an eyeliner of your choice (Alyssa chose a bright blue to really make it pop!), line the top perimeter of your concealer outline.
Step 6: Swipe the original transition shade onto your bottom lash line.
Step 7: Using a thin, pointed brush, take the second shade from your upper lid and line the bottom lash line.
Step 8: Apply mascara and false eyelashes to finish your bold, show-stopping look!
