Just minutes before stepping on the red carpet of the 59th Grammy Awards, Katy Perry announced a new makeup collaboration with CoverGirl, and of course, it's inspired by mermaids.
Let's be real here: Ariel might have been the OG mermaid of Hollywood, but Katy Perry is definitely a close second. So it's only appropriate that her latest CoverGirl collab is completely mermaid-inspired.
Just minutes before walking the red carpet, Katy Perry revealed CoverGirl's new The Katy Kat line, and in true Katy fashion, she showed up looking fierce and wearing some of the new products.
"In the next evolution of my Katy Kat line with CoverGirl, I was inspired by spring's upcoming mermaid and pearlescent hues," Katy told PopSugar. "…You'll make Ariel jealous and look better than a shimmering Easter basket when you're done."
Now that's a look we can look forward to.
Four Katy Kat eyeliner will eventually be available, but only the green and silver shades will be launching this spring. Keep an eye out for the matte and glitter black versions come this summer!
Also included in the collection will be four Katy Kat Pearl Lipsticks and Katy Kat Pearl eyeshadow-highlighter-duos (the Tiger Rose shade was seen on KP at the 59th Grammy Awards!) all for $8 a piece.
The shades include: Blue-tiful Kitty (pastel blue), Apricat (sherbet), Purrty in Pink (baby pink), and REDdy to Pounce (true red).
The duos can be purchased in either Tiger Rose (rose gold) or Tiger's Eye (champagne).
The Katy Kat line will be available online from CoverGirl's website in early March and will drop in stores come April, and head to Walgreens.com for a 48-hour flash sale while supplies last!
