Everything You Need to Know About the ColourPop Launch

ColourPop is back and this time they have made all of our lipstick dreams come true with chic (and affordable!) lip color. They just launched a matte lipstick collection, and at $5 a pop let's just say we went a little crazy. Here's everything you need to know about the latest ColourPop launch.

Too cool for school? ColourPop is the brand for you.

An indie brand that's barely two years old (!!!), ColourPop has amassed a huge following. Based in Los Angeles, founders John and Laura Nelson have always kept their budding brand on the DL, until now. The pair builds beauty brands under the comfort of their Seed Beauty umbrella—which allows them to experiment and test new products, making it the perfect fit for ColourPop.

The new line of matte lipsticks, Lippie Stix, comes with daring, electric shades of magenta, a shocking shade of tangerine and a dynamic, deep purple, just to name a few. Each shade costs you $5, which, when compared to other cult-favorite lipsticks, is practically pocket change. A fair warning though: with so many colors to choose from it's nearly impossible to keep yourself from buying 12 at a time so make sure to have a friend nearby who will keep you from going crazy. Intense shades made to be applied with one stroke, this line is made with shea butter, avocado butter and vitamin E so they definitely won't dry out your lips after every application.

Another perk of this undercover brand? Their products are vegan AND cruelty free, which of course makes them good for the environment, giving you one more reason to pull the trigger and buy them all, (We've already had to cut ourselves off).

With accessible price points and luxury ingredients, it's no joke that this brand is making its way to the top of the indie beauty industry, with hundreds of thousands of Facebook fans and an Instagram following of more than two million. To be honest, they're getting popular to the point that it's hard to believe the brand has only been around since May of 2014.

Now that we've got you hooked, check out the line for yourself, and hurry, shades have already begun to sell out, so you don't want to miss this. Happy shopping!
