“The more makeup palettes the merrier! This year I’m excited for Too Faced to round out its Peaches & Cream collection with the launch of a brand new beauty product, an eyeshadow palette. The White Peach Eye Shadow Palette will launch exclusively on January 16. It has the perfect blend of neutrals and peach-colored shades complemented by two bold shades, ‘On The Grill’ and ‘Peach Passion.’” —Lauren Juhl, Coordinating Editor

“Here to help us glow up (literally) is L’Oreal’s latest beauty launch of its True Match collection, Glow Amour Illuminator Drops. L’Oreal has developed ultra-lightweight illuminating drops that leave your complexion with a healthy dewy glimmer. The formula is non-greasy so your glow won’t be mistaken for sweat, and best of all it comes in two color options of ‘Daybreak’ a champagne glow and ‘Golden Hour’ a King Midas golden touch. I cannot wait to use this product alone or mix a couple drops with my favorite foundation for a healthy glow!” —Sidney Burds, Editor

"Okay, it's not technically a 2018 new beauty product release, but it's pretty darn close, coming out on December 26. RiRi took Fenty Beauty fun-sized with adorable minis of the brand's best-selling products: Gloss Bomb, a luminous lip shine in rose nude, and Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Hu$tla Baby, a peachy-champagne shimmer. Not only is this radiant duo perfectly travel-sized to throw in my makeup bag when I'm out the door, but it's also budget-friendly, selling for only $23 at Sephora. Compared to how the full-size products retail, this shimmery set is a deal I'm not willing to pass up." —Taylor Borde, Editor

Kat Von D’s New Studded Kiss Crème Lipsticks

“As I type this, I am wearing Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Exorcism,’ so of course I am excited about the relaunch of the line’s Studded Kiss Crème Lipsticks on January 12. Now completely vegan, the hyper-pigmented lipsticks come in 40 shades—including some favorites of her liquid lipstick shades—and three finishes. I’m just going to go ahead and make room in my makeup bag for ‘Lovecraft’ and ‘Vampira’ now. Plus, the collection comes with a super cool ‘White Out’ color that can mix to customize a shade. (Or, wear it on its own, if you dare!). I got a set of Kat Von D lipsticks as a gift from my husband once, and they’re so incredibly pigmented and the color range is right up my alley, no one has yet to dethrone her as my queen of lipstick.”—Caitlin White, Senior Editor

Glossier Cloud Paint

“There is a fine line between having youthful rosy cheeks and clown paint, and my younger self definitely had issues with defining that line, and years later I’m still scarred. Oh if only I had had access to Glossier’s latest beauty ‘Cloud Paint’ back then! This cream blush has a pillowy light formula that allows you to blend like finger paints and build coverage as you go, so that it’s hard to over apply. The pink tones were inspired by NYC sunsets and the paint tube packaging is so cute that I can’t wait to let out my inner makeup artist.”—Sidney Burds, Editor

"Renowned runway makeup artist Pat McGrath is gifting us with yet another glorious makeup drop, just weeks after her sold-out lip balm, Lip Fetish, was released January 4. I'm most excited about her new palette called Mothership IV: Decadence, which houses 10 cream-infused shadows, each with diamond-strength shine. The makeup artist herself said ‘2018 is all about indulging, inciting and inspiring acts of iconic artistry,’ and this opulent eyeshadow palette certainly does that with rich jewel tones fit for a queen. Set to release January 18, it'll be available just in time for me to recreate McGrath's latest runway looks from London and Paris. I'm all for the see now, buy now beauty movement!" —Taylor Borde, Editor

Kat Von D Basket Case Anti-Precision Liner

“Do you have the time, to listen to me whine about… how the Kat Von D Basket Case Anti-Precision Liner goes out of stock so quickly? Words can’t even explain how essential Green Day’s Dookie was to me as a middle schooler—but it’s up there with how essential black eyeliner is to me today. (There’s probably some correlation there.) So when I saw the Instagram pic of my makeup fave Kat Von D with Billie Joe Armstrong there was an audible gasp alone at my computer. Anti-precision liner that’s meant to be smudgy, messy cool without the effort of a smudging brush, just like Armstrong’s signature look? Excuse me while I grab my Walkman and rock out with excitement.”—Caitlin White, Senior Editor

“I've always been a little jealous of women with perfectly manicured nails. It never fails, when I ask where they got them done that they respond, ‘I did it myself.’ Kudos, sister! However, I'm one who lacks patience and a steady hand. That's why I'm so excited to try this new beauty product, cuticle protectors from Sally Hansen. They prevent you from getting polish on your cuticles and skin for flawless nails. Bonus: They're affordable, so I'm stocking up!” —Anna Knief, Product Marketing & Editorial Manager

MAC x Aaliyah Collection

 new beauty products

VIEW ALL

“Last year, MAC announced a MAC x Aaliyah collection after fans clamoured for it with a Change.org petition, and I’ve been waiting with bated breath for more information ever since. It’s currently scheduled for release in summer 2018, which may be timed to launch near the 17th anniversary of the singer-actress’ death in a tragic plane crash on August 25, 2001. Aaliyah was such a huge force in my teenage life—my friends and I practiced the dance to ‘Are You That Somebody?’ over and over again—as she was in so many. The proclaimed ‘Princess of R&B’ changed the game not just in music, but in fashion and style, always on the cutting edge of creating new trends while encouraging women to dress and look like no one but themselves. I’m excited to see that edgy, classy, unique vibe in the MAC collection, and can’t wait to get it all in my shopping bag.”—Caitlin White, Senior Editor

“Sunscreen isn’t just for the great outdoors. If your job is anything like mine, you might find that the majority of your time at work is spent in front of your computer. Some studies show that blue light your desktop is emitting is actually pretty harmful and can end up speeding up your skin’s aging. Since I’m trying to preserve my youth as much as possible I’m excited to nab Supergoop’s new beauty product Unseen Sunscreen. It’s completely invisible, lightweight, and can work as a dual primer! Just make sure to reapply every two hours like regular SPF.” — Sidney Burds, Editor

"The Nars Spring 2018 Color Collection is simply stunning, with shades and formulas for lips, eyes, and cheeks in a range of pinks, reds, and shimmers. My favorite find in this collection has to be the two-in-one highlighting blush, reformulated with a smooth satin finish that just melts into your skin for a subtle pearly radiance all day long. And the baby pink powder is just the right shade to pull of healthy spring skin (even if your skin is still suffering from the dry winter weather). February 1 can't come quickly enough!" —Taylor Borde, Editor
