What's the Deal with Peel-Off Makeup? Two Beauty Experts Give It A Try

Tired of your brushes and pencils? Peel-off beauty supplies might be for you.

Whether we'd like to admit it or not, peeling stuff is fun. Whether it's stickers or sticky tack, Elmer's glue or even a bad sunburn, there's a kind of odd delight in peeling stuff. If you're a peeling fan or just like innovative and creative makeup trends, these new peely products might be for you.

You may have used or seen peel-off beauty supplies before—blackhead strips, face masks, etc.—but you've never seen them like this. In this video, beauty experts and YouTube favorites Promise Phan and Michelle Phan came together to test the latest peel-off beauty trend: lip tints, eyebrow tints, and also a blackhead removal activated carbon. The lip and eyebrow tints work something like a face mask would. Promise and Michelle apply the tints to the desired areas using the designated brushes. Then, they wait.

After an undisclosed amount of time—Promise mentions that the brow tint may take up to two hours to darken fully—the pair peels and reveals.

While Michelle and Promise didn't have much luck with the lip tint—the color was barely visible in the video—they did have some success with the brow tint. If you're looking for a creative way to add a little color to your brows, perhaps this new peel-off brow gel is what you've been looking for.

What do you think? Would you try a peelable beauty product?
