New for Spring: The 8 Products You’ll Want to Add to Your Makeup Kit Today
When it comes to new product launches, I’m a like a kid in the proverbial candy store. Check out the spring product launches that have me rethinking my own beauty routine!
There are some really awesome new developments in beauty and skincare products that are innovative, long-wearing, and user-friendly. Read on to learn about some of my favorite spring product launches for a more beautiful you.
1. Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation
This foundation is perfect for someone who wants sheer-to-light coverage and a natural look. I especially love it on young girls who are just starting to get into makeup. It feels and looks weightless and has an SPF 30. The shade range is particularly impressive because it includes darker skin tones which are often overlooked.
2. Josie Maran Argan Milk
If you're a fan of Josie Maran's Argan Oil, but don't love the idea of using an oil on your face for day, the new Argan Milk has all the benefit in a lightweight lotion- or serum-like weight. The oil has been encapsulated in purified water, and it feels incredibly lightweight. The only thing that makes me giggle is the packaging, because it really looks like a little baby's bottle of milk!
3. Anastasia Dipbrow
Described as a powder, pencil, and a wax (in one!), this brow product is unlike any other you've used. It is a "pomade," so it's not hard or waxy. When applied with a small angled brush, this creates defined, bold brows that are waterproof and stay in place all day. A trace amount goes a long way, so for $18, you'll get a brow product that will really last.
4. Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss
Another day, another great Urban Decay product! I love so many things about these new glosses. The packaging is luxe and gorgeous. They have a light scent of rose hips and don't feel at all sticky due to the avocado oil, vitamin E, and shea butter. The shades are all in the "naked" family and one of my early faves is the milky pink Lovechild.
5. Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Ink
Sephora Collection's Cream Lip Stains are wildly popular, and these are their newest cousins. These have such a unique feel. They glide on, leave a stain that really lasts, and dry to a semi-matte finish. Magenta Ink is the perfect way to rock Pantone's Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid. I also love Ruby Extract for a deep, dramatic kisser.
6. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic Colour Pencils
You're probably most familiar with OCC for their revolutionary lip tars, but these pencils are where it's at for spring. Don't worry, you can pair the pencils with your favorite lip tars! These are incredibly versatile pencils for eyes, lips, and body! The $16 price is worth every cent. My favorite color of the moment? Pool Boy for the waterline.
7. Make Up For Ever HD Blush
Cream blushes are harder to come by these days but look so beautiful and natural when worn properly. These have a silky, non-tacky texture and come in a shade for nearly everyone! My favorite way to apply is with a small duo fiber brush but clean fingers work, too. Make sure to apply cream blush before you apply any of your powder products.
8. Tarte MATTEnificent Amazonian Colored Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette
I'm so amped about this palette for many reasons. For starters, it's an insane value for $36. It has 6 all matte shadows, one of Tarte's amazing blushes (one of my top favorite blushes), and 2 powder liners. The colors in this are so wearable and soft. Plus, they will really light up green and blue eyes. It's not easy to find quality all-matte palettes and Tarte's palette fits the bill.
