NYFW Fall 2012: Cool, Colorful Makeup at Charlotte Ronson
Why wait until fall to wear bright, punchy colors? At the Charlotte Ronson show at New York Fall 2012 Fashion Week, models sported lavender eyes paired with a red-orange lip. Inspired by Ronson’s ‘70s vibe, this look is so right—right now, that is.
Sephora PRO makeup artist Gilbert Soliz created the makeup look using products from Ronson’s own cosmetics collection, as well as a few other favorites, all available at Sephora and Sephora.com. "The Ronson girl is a little edgy, a little grunge,” he said, “but this time it’s a little more refined and more polished.”
To get the smooth, velvety skin, start with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, and then dab YSL Touche Eclat, a combo concealer-highlighter, around the eyes to brighten and camouflage any dark circles. Set with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder.
On the eyes, Soliz used Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Dab on the lid, and a sweep of purple shadow from the All Eye Need Shadow Palette in Dani (from Charlotte’s own makeup collection) for contrast and depth. He finished with Dior Diorshow Mascara in Black.
To create the bright, orange-red lips, Gilbert blended two Lip Attitude lipsticks from Sephora Collection–Red Flirt and Rosy Frivol–for a semi-sheer, glossy look.
