Splurge: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

There’s two simple rules to makeup: Less is always more, and when you think setting powder, you think Laura Mercier. Though the cult-favorite powder is award-winning and rightfully earned its top spot on the products we need list, the hefty price tag can be a bit daunting. Lucky for you, we found a dupe that is literally one third of the price and could give Miss Mercier a run for her perfecting setting powder reign.

Save: RCMA No-Color Powder

The No-Color Powder by RMCA is a translucent powder very similar to the Laura Mercier setting powder, meaning it will not change the color of any foundation base. It’s also three times the size of the Laura Mercier product, giving you a much bigger bang for your buck.

Splurge: Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

Blush is definitely one of the most overlooked products in our makeup bags, but we wanted to include it on this list because we found a rather identical duplicate of one of our favorites: Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed Nude. A long-lasting blush that complements oily to dry skin, this little miracle may come in a tiny compact, but the price tag can be rather daunting.

Save: Milani Cosmetics Rose Powder Blush

The Rose Powder Blush by Milani Cosmetics is such a close match to Tarte, the only major change will be the extra cash flow in your bank account. The powder has a natural-looking finishing perfector that will shape, contour, and highlight your cheeks with one simple swipe. It’s just an added bonus that this $9 blush comes in a precious clear and gold compact, while the blush comes chiseled into a rose itself. We’ll take 10 please.

Splurge: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil

The Brow Wiz pencil from the Romanian makeup queen herself is an award-winning brow aide that creates clean and concise lines, giving you all the more power to rock those #BrowGoals day in and day out.

Save: NYX Micro Brow Pencil

Talk about a product dupe, right down to the packaging! The only difference? NYX’s brow pencil is nearly $7 cheaper than the Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil. The Micro Brow Pencil brings the same ultra-thin pencil with a combing brush to create natural-looking brows at a much cheaper price. We’re sold.

Splurge: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

Women have been using gel eyeliner for years in order to achieve that crisp and pristine line to make eyes pop without the mess of liquid liner. Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner is award-winning and promises that the gel-based formula will provide up to 12 hours of waterproof protection, making it a go-to product for sweat, humidity, and even that tearful day your sister gets married.

Save: Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

What if we told you we found a duplicate of this dream-liner for a third of the price? Yep, it’s true—Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is an oil-free eyeliner that will give you the dramatic eye you’ve been dreaming of. The color and formula is nearly the same to Bobbi Brown’s, but the price is much more desirable.

Splurge: Diorshow Mascara by Dior

High-end mascara has been a product of interest for decades, but is the formula all that different to really justify the pricetag? We love a good tube of classic Dior mascara, from its XXL brush to its microfiber-enhanced formula that gives us supermodel-worthy lashes. Diorshow Mascara may elevate your lashes, however it will also raise your total at the Sephora checkout line.

Save: L’Oreal Voluminous Volume Building Mascara

The Diorshow Mascara by Dior has the same formula and brush as the much lower-priced L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara. Pretty much a no-brainer, right? Built to thicken lashes upon application, this drugstore dupe is already on our grocery list.

Splurge: Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip

Liquid lipstick is all the rage these days (thank you, Kylie Jenner), and we’ve found a nearly exact replica of one of our favorites. The Be Legendary Liquid Lip from Smashbox has been our go-to for quite some time, but though it looks great on our lips, it doesn’t look quite as good on our bank statement.

Save: Femme Couture Gilded Rose Mod Metals Lip Paint

Luckily, we found the formula and shade equivalent from Femme Couture. Introducing the Gilded Rose Mod Metals Lip Paint, aka our new best friend. With a cool and metallic finish, this long-lasting liquid lip paint is formulated with avocado oil and sunflower seed oil, so with one simple swipe your lips will look and taste delicious.

Splurge: Original Beautyblender

The original Best of Beauty award-winning Beautyblender sponge is a staple item to have in your makeup bag. It has the brilliant built-in technology that doesn’t absorb any liquid or product, but rather produces a stiffness to merely hold product in place before applicating. It’s a modern classic.

Save: EcoTools Perfecting Blender Duo

Though these sponges don’t look much like one another, don’t let the differing appearance fool you because the Perfecting Blender Duo from Ecotools is the same texture, applying your foundation in the very same fashion as the Best of Beauty award-winning sponge. The plus-side to our drugstore dupe? For half the price of the name brand sponge, you get an extra sponge that feels a bit firmer in texture, offering a more precise coverage when needed. We’re definitely running to buy these sponges STAT!
