Geometric Nail Art: A Kitchen Tile Pattern That Wows

This geometric nail art looks impossible, but it's deceptively simple. So, if you're thinking, "Ooh! How do they do that?," don't worry. This tile-inspired nail look is completely pinnable, but more important, it's completely doable!

Geometric Nail Art

Inspiration can strike anytime from anything. The idea for this geometric nail art came straight from my kitchen—my kitchen tile, to be specific. To get the look yourself, you'll need a striping brush or polish, a base coat, a topcoat and two contrasting colors. I used OPI's I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw and White Porcelain from INM. After gathering supplies and applying the base coat, follow these steps for stunning geometric nail art you thought was expert-only level.

Geometric Nail Art: Steps 1-2

1. Apply two coats of your base coat, and let them dry.

2. Paint a vertical white line down the middle of your nail. I used a striping brush and polish, but it may be easier for you to use a white striping polish for the next steps.

Geometric Nail Art: Steps 3-4

3. Then paint a horizontal line across the center of your nail.

4. Connect the end of each line to the adjoining one with wide arches as shown. Do this in each corner of your nail. Don't forget to seal in your designs with a topcoat once they're dry.

If you want a pop of contrast, switch the dark and light polishes on your accent nail; use your light color as the base and your dark color for the lines.

While your nails dry, take a moment to see the rest of my tutorials at Nailed It. After they're done, tag me on Instagram or Twitter at @blognailedit to share your re-creations!
