Because I live in the U.K., fireworks always remind me of autumn, wrapping up warm in coats and scarves, and standing in front of a bonfire with sparklers and watching the fireworks in the sky. We have Bonfire Night on November 5, and it's always one of my favorite days of the year. Creating a celebratory fireworks nail design seemed fitting, no matter what time of year you enjoy fireworks. I've always been a bit nervous that they wouldn't turn out, but these fireworks nails ended up being really simple, because you can just make them up as you go along. Here's how you can create the look yourself:
1. Paint your nails with a dark base color. Black replicates the night sky best. Then, using a thin nail art brush, draw a star with gold nail polish, starting from the center and flicking outward.
2. Repeat this with orange nail polish in between the gold lines.
3. Add glitter to some of your fireworks. I used Barry M-Starlet and painted in the gaps.
4. Place glitter nail polish or loose glitter in between your fireworks. I used Barry M-Moonlight and a nail art brush to fish out pieces of glitter. Once the loose glitter and sparkles have set, finish off with a topcoat to seal in your fireworks nails design!
