NYFW: Nails by butter LONDON on the Louise Goldin Runway

Katie Jane Hughes, lead manicurist for butter LONDON, created a nearly nude summertime-inspired look for the Louise Goldin runway show at New York Fashion Week. Goldin’s spring 2014 collection was filled with chic tennis wear and the ever-popular festival attire in crisp whites, abstract patterns, and structurally strange stitching, meant to resemble the netting of tennis rackets. Goldin played with contrasting colors in this collection; heather gray with black detailing helped the otherwise white collection pop. Stray pixelated patterns were reminiscent of Cochella and other summer concerts.

Hughes completed Goldin’s fresh look by adding simple nails. She first applied two coats of butter LONDON Nail Foundation followed by a coat of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Pink Ribbon. The pale pink gave the nails a natural look that went along with the collection’s color palette.
