Runway Envy: Nail Edition

Katie Jane Hughes, butter LONDON's global color ambassador, created a sophisticated, glitter-inspired nail look by Nicole Miller's spring line. This elegant, embellished nail design by Deborah Lippmann brought together the mix of structured neutrals and flowy florals that made up the spring 2014 Honor line. The mid-length pointed nails were covered with two coats of La Vie en Rose polish, a pyramid of six rhinestones, and finished with Lippmann's Gel Lab Top Coat. 

Individuality reigns supreme with this ICB look created by butter LONDON's lead manicurist Katie Jane Hughes. Made for the highly fashionable, street-chic, cool girls (or ICB girls), this look differed a bit for each model as Hughes wanted a playful edge to the look. What would your ICB girl look be? Bright, bold colors with detailed designs made the nails on Rebecca Minkoff's models stand out from the many nudes and neutrals seen this season. Essie's celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders created this wow-worthy look as well as a pedicure counterpart. Lucky for us this playful manicure comes with instructions!

Kate Spade's spring 2014 garden party of a clothing line was paired with an edgy, chic nail. Deborah Lippmann created the look by first giving the models a longer nail with a soft point. The nails were painted with Pseudo Silk Kimono as a base, the tip was Bad Moon Rising, and the stripe of color between the two was either It's Raining Men (red), Groove is in The Heart (pink), or Waking on Sunshine (yellow). 

Jenni Kayne's line was defined by clean lines and white fabrics. To complement the look, OPI created a manicure with a half-moon design in neutrals. A stark white moon was created with Alpine Snow, the rest of the manicure was covered in the neutral shade Don't Pretzel My Buttons.

The '70s took the runway by storm this spring and Band of Outsiders head designer, Scott Sternberg, was leading the pack. Katie Jane Hughes, lead manicurist for butter LONDON, continued the '70s vibe with a solid white nail, which was somehow simple and bold.
