NYFW: Soft, Sheer Nails by butter LONDON on the Monique Lhuillier Runway

Katie Jane Hughes, butter LONDON’s global colour ambassador, helped Monique Lhuillier create her sheer elegance-inspired runway show for New York Fashion Week on Saturday. Lhuillier’s spring 2014 collection featured lacy neutrals, bold colors and clean details, all with her signature feminine touch.

The famed red-carpet designer didn’t forget her sophisticated style when she created high-end rompers and jeweled collars. Her classic glam gowns swished across the runway, but this collection was staged for Lhuillier’s attempt at ready-to-wear. “Women have busy lives. Their clothes need to be real,” Lhuillier told Style.com the day before the show.

Hughes fed off of the modern silhouettes and lady-like colors in the collection to create her soft, clean look. She first applied a coat of butter LONDON Nail Foundation and then two coats of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Pink Ribbon. To complement the bold colors throughout the line, she used butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Pillar Box Red on the model's toes.
