Must-Have Trader Joe’s Beauty Buys
by Ivy Boyd
I love me some Trader Joe’s. Nearly everything they sell is a winner in my book, and—no surprise—that extends to beauty products as well. I’ve pulled together my 10 favorite Trader Joe’s beauty buys, so the next time you’re shopping, grab some of these awesome skincare products along with your Two Buck Chuck!
Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo
They don’t call it Tea Tree Tingle for nothing! With a refreshing tingle you can actually feel, oily-haired babes will love the squeaky-clean sensation the naturally antibacterial tea tree provides. $4.
Face Wash with Tea Tree Oil and Facial Cleansing Pads
Harness the power of tea tree oil in this blemish-busting scrub and pads. This cleanser is great for oily and breakout-prone skin. Be very careful not to get it near your eyes, however, as tea tree oil burns! $4.
Vitamin E Oil
Vitamin E is one of the most versatile products you can have in your arsenal. I like to add a few drops to my bath water or body lotion when I’m in need of a little extra moisture. Plus, vitamin E helps speed healing so it’s great for diminishing scars. $4.
Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer
If you find an oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, antioxidant-rich moisturizer at this price, you grab it. Packaged in a handy pump bottle, this baby gives you lots of bang for your buck, with ingredients like retinol and collagen typically found in much pricier offerings. $6.
All-in-One Facial Cleanser
I’ve raved about this cleanser on my blog before, and with good reason. For the price, it’s literally one of the best gentle cleansers you can buy. It contains high-end ingredients like glycolic acid, and rumor has that it renowned dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross formulated this specifically for Trader Joe’s. $6.
Nourish Antioxidant Facial Serum
This anti-aging antioxidant and retinol-packed serum is such a steal! Retinol degrades when exposed to light, though, so be sure to grab a package from the back of the shelf, and keep it in your bathroom cabinet and away from sunlight. $10.
Coconut Body Butter
Not only does this body butter contain the all-mighty coconut oil but also über-hydrating shea butter and vitamin E to boot! You’ll love the scent and luxurious texture. $5.
Lavender Salt Scrub
This scrub smells out-of-this-world heavenly and makes your body feel like straight-up silk. The plastic tub is durable and shatterproof for keeping in the shower too. $6.
Refresh Citrus Body Wash
Vitamin C, chamomile, orange blossoms and grapefruit? You can’t go wrong with this wash. This is one product that totally lives up to its name with a scent that will wake you right up and start your day on a sunny note! $2.50.
Honey Mango Moisturizing Shave Cream
The scent is definitely divine, and with both skin-soothing aloe and vitamin E, this cream might give you your smoothest shave yet. I much prefer shave creams over gels or foams, and this is the best I’ve found. $3.
