Korean beauty trends never fail to amaze us, and these mini, fruit-shaped face masks are following suit.
Let’s be real, without Korean beauty we’re not sure where we would be. Between the absolutely gorgeous nail trends they’ve given the world and their tricks to keep our makeup looking darn near perfect, our beauty game has been taken up approximately 100 notches from all of their innovative ideas.
So while the latest in Korean beauty trends isn’t even a little bit surprising in terms of its origin, it has still totally managed to grasp our undivided attention. Welcome to the beauty world fruit slice face masks, the most instagrammable face mask, yet. (Read: How To Work Sheet Masks Into Your Beauty Routine)
We know they look bomb, but how do they work exactly?
The masks created by the popular K-Beauty brand Kocostar are a variation on their oh-so-popular (and TBH, life-changing) sheet masks. However the difference is that these are cut into smaller, more concentrated “mini-masks” in the shape of our favorite fruits and vegetables, formulated for all different types of skin concerns. For example, the watermelon and cucumber versions are designed for keeping skin hydrated, while the lemon slices are used to brighten complexions, and the tomato formulation is geared to detoxify and improve elasticity.
Technically, the face masks (that come in a pack of 12) can be used anywhere on the body or as a spot treatment, but most stick to putting them all over their face for a bomb-looking ‘gram and a splash of skin nourishment.
The masks just became available at Sephora Malaysia, so we’re sitting patiently until they can be bought at Sephora in the states. But until then, try some out for yourself from ASOS in watermelon, tulip, sunflower, lemon, tomato, and so many more for $6.50 a pack!
