15 of the Biggest Celebrity Splits of 2015

Celebrity splits are as inevitable as winter snow in New England, but 2015 seemed to be a very bad year for Hollywood couples. Here are the biggest star-studded splits of the year.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale

When it comes to big splits, Gwen and Gavin are at the top of the list. Thirteen years of marriage ended with a cheating scandal to seal the deal. Gwen now has a great single in “Used To Love You” and a new boyfriend in Blake Shelton to carry her into 2016.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

Although this split was rumored for several months, many were still shocked that Blake and Miranda called it quits. Many believe that a disagreement on starting a family was to blame. Blake, of course, has since moved on with Gwen Stefani.

Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting

Just before their two-year wedding anniversary, the Big Bang Theory actress and her tennis pro hubby decided to call it quits. Despite a whirlwind romance, Kaley and Ryan apparently had issues that no one saw coming.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

These two actors dated for four years, but called it quits in the fall of 2015. They split up for a bit in April only to get back together a few weeks later, but ultimately, these two must have felt it wasn’t working.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick

This reality television couple parted ways earlier this year after Kourtney decided that Scott’s drinking and partying ways weren’t cutting it any longer. This is nothing new for Kourt and Lord Disick though, and the media is already speculating that their relationship might be on the mend.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

Splits couldn’t be more surprising than this one. Ben and Jen announced their split after their 10-year wedding anniversary. The two are still living together and spending time as a family with their three children.

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt

Mad Men star Jon Hamm and actress Jennifer Westfeldt split after 18 years together. The two remain friends, and some even speculate they may end up getting back together. Only time will tell.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

Perhaps one of the most shocking splits of 2015, these actors parted ways over the summer. The two remain dedicated to raising their sons, Noah and Bodhi, together.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger

A less surprising celebrity split perhaps, Avril and Chad ended their two-year marriage in 2015. In a joint statement, the two said that they will remain “the best of friends.”

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez

Another one of the biggest splits of the year, actress Halle Berry filed for divorce from her third husband, Olivier Martinez. The two remain close as they raise their son, Maceo, but couldn’t stay married any longer. Many believe that Olivier’s “anger issues” are to blame.

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid

The former Friends star and her actor beau ended their engagement after 17 months. Sources say that the two went to therapy, but that they ultimately couldn’t make it down the aisle.

Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn

On the “less surprising splits” list is Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn. The athletes dated for over two years and announced their split suddenly in the spring. No word on what may have gone wrong, but Vonn recently admitted that she still loves Tiger. Will a 2016 reconciliation be in the cards?

Kate Walsh and Chris Case

The Private Practice actress split from her love in 2015. This is one of those splits that is said to be “amicable,” but sources say that Kate is still having a hard time with it.

Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock

This 26-year marriage came to a close in 2015. Although they decided to separate over the summer, the two say that they will remain close and that they will continue working together.

Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman

Sources say that fighting was the ultimate reason this 11-year marriage came to an end. Sources say Kate and Len tried to work things out, but the two eventually decided to part ways.
