15 Unique Celebrity Weddings That Take the Cake

Celebrities love to put on a show, so it makes sense that star weddings are often flashy, over-the-top productions, taking place in castles with days of festivities. Sometimes celebs seem to be competing for who can put on the most ostentatious wedding. Just as entertaining are stories of imaginative or even bizarre nuptials. From lavish to modest, here are the top 15 unique celebrity weddings.

Katy Perry & Russell Brand

The 2010 marriage ceremony of Russell Brand and Katy Perry was one of the most exotic celebrity weddings to date. Located in India, the star-studded event featured five days of festivities that blended Eastern and Western cultures.

David & Victoria Beckham

David and Victoria Beckham’s 1999 Dublin wedding was outrageous, to say the least. Victoria wore a diamond and gold crown, the couple sat at gold thrones, and the cake was topped with a nude sculpture of the newlyweds.

Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz

Few couples would attempt an Alice in Wonderland–themed wedding, but Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz (both fans of the Lewis Carroll classic) did, in 2008. Highlights included 10,000 black magic roses, an English Bulldog ring bearer ,and an Alice in Wonderland cake.

Poppy Delevingne & James Cook

Another bride to take her wedding intercontinental was model Poppy Delevingne. Among the many A-listers in attendance was Poppy’s sister, model and actress Cara Delevingne.
