Whether they’re going gluten-free because they have celiac disease or are simply sensitive, it seems that everyone is avoiding gluten these days, even celebrities! A protein found in certain grains, including wheat, barley and rye, gluten can be tough to cut out entirely, but doing so can have serious health benefits. Some say eliminating the protein can help with digestion, improve energy, alleviate sinus problems, and reduce inflammation.
The former co-host of “The View” is well-known for living with celiac disease, even writing a book on the subject, The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide. Of course, she and gluten will never be BFFs, but it doesn’t stop her from co-hosting “Fox & Friends.”
