She named it Larry.
Adele sure can sing… and she is pretty funny too! The “Hello” singer recently opened up about her pregnancy and shared some interesting details about what she went through over those nine months. According to Us Weekly, Adele, 27, admitted that getting pregnant caused her to grow a beard. And even though her son is 3-years-old, the beard actually hasn’t stopped growing… oh, and she named it. Because why not?!
“When I got pregnant I had so much testosterone in me that I grew a beard. I only cropped it last night. It’s actually true. I’m not telling a joke. I actually have a beard, but I’m proud of it. I call it Larry,” she revealed to the audience at her concert in Glasgow, Scotland, last weekend.
Adele even said that she can relate to men who have beards (like her beau, Simon Konecki) and how having that extra hair on your chin and neck can get uncomfortable in the warmer months.
“My man’s got a good beard. He trims it sometimes in the summer. I do have a beard myself, so I can understand when it gets hot in the summer,” Adele said according to People Magazine.
Most moms know that being pregnant is usually a really special time, but some of the pregnancy side effects can be quite frustrating. Sure, there are cravings and mood swings, but there are also some less common and more annoying things that occur. According to Today, those things include swollen feet, bleeding gums, snoring—and, of course, the growth of hair in strange places!
So many moms can relate to Adele and know exactly what she’s talking about. While it is funny, it’s also very true and that makes Adele more real to many people. Sure, she is super gorgeous, talented (and she’s a gazzilionaire), but she’s also just a mom, too.
