Emma Watson Wears Dress Made Out Of Recycled Plastic Bottles To The Met Gala
Just when we thought she couldn't get any cooler.
The Met Gala is one of the most exclusive parties in Hollywood. Boasting a fresh and exciting new theme every year, celebrity A-listers from across the board make an appearance, each determined to make the boldest fashion statement on the red carpet. Remember Beyonce's nearly naked dress last year? Utterly to die for!
This year's theme, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, really gave celebs the chance to get creative. And though the Kardashians may have flaunted custom-made Balmain, and Queen Bey showed up dripping in latex, no one stole the show quite like Emma Watson.
The actress-turned-activist showed up in a gorgeous floor length Calvin Klein and Eco Age gown made of three different fabrics, all woven from yarns made entirely from recycled plastic bottles!
The 26-year-old explains her inspiration by pointing out that plastic is on of the biggest pollutants on this planet, and that turning waste into high-quality and high-fashion material is truly revolutionary.
In an interview with CNN she claims that she is just, "Changing the world one dress at a time." And that she is.
