Gigi Hadid took the modeling world by storm in 2015. She graced the covers of countless high-fashion magazines, walked in both New York and Milan Fashion Weeks, and became the face for popular labels such as Maybelline, Tommy Hilfiger, and Topshop. The awesome part? She documented her milestones on her Instagram! Here are our favorite Gigi moments from the past year.
Won Model of the Year
What a great way to start the year! The young supermodel, only 19 at the time, was named Model of the Year at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in January 2015.
Made Her Teen Vogue Debut
Just a month after winning her award, Hadid was seen on not one but two different covers of Teen Vogue in the same month. The magazine calls her the American Dream Girl; a title she definitely earned.
Her First Editorial with Love Magazine
Gigi and fellow supermodel sister Bella Hadid did their first-ever editorial for the 13th issue of Love Magazine. The first of many, we’re sure.
Made the Cover of Vogue España
Gigi went international when she appeared on the cover of Vogue España just days after her Teen Vogue cover dropped. The magazine dubbed her a “new icon” of style.
Walked at NYFW for the First Time
She opened the impressive Friday Night Lights–themed show for Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2015 show at New York Fashion Week in February.
Opened for Anna Sui at NYFW
At this point Hadid was being called the queen of New York Fashion Week—strutting in Anna Sui’s amazing tropical looks.
Made Some Friends along the Way

Made Her First Appearance at the Oscars
She wowed everyone in her revealing Versace gown at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. In fact, she made our list of Nearly Nude Celebs on the Red Carpet!
Walked at Milan Fashion Week for the First Time
Gigi channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe in Milan as she opened for Max Mara. The whole show was based on the trademark looks of the late actress.

Hadid proved she’s in high demand when she walked for yet another high-fashion label in Milan.
Headlined Balmain’s H&M Collection
Olivier Rousteing and his BFF model friends are #squadgoals. Of course Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are a part of his squad—both were featured in his now-famous H&M collection.
Modeled for Victoria’s Secret Pink Line
Every It Girl has modeled for Victoria’s Secret, so it comes as no surprise that Hadid added a steamy photo shoot with VS Pink to her resume.

Most models dream to be a part of Mario Testino’s iconic Towel Series. Hadid was the first to ever do it as a couple with then-boyfriend Cody Simpson.
Made her Debut in Vogue, America
Hadid—joined by Justin Beiber, Ansel Elgort, and Kendall Jenner—teamed up with Mario Testino yet again for Vogue‘s April 2015 issue. The magazine called them Hollywood’s “New Brat Pack.” How fitting!
Featured on the Cover of Adweek
For their millennial Issue, Adweek did a feature on social supermodels—focusing particularly on Hadid. With 11.4 million followers on Instagram, Hadid is one of many models to leverage social media as a means to success.

The reality star was showcased in a photo series titled “Where Beauty Meets Fashion.”

High-fashion Australian swimwear line Seafolly brought in the big guns when they signed Hadid to be the face of their summer collection.
Celebrated Her 20th Birthday
She left her teenage years behind as she celebrated her 20th in NYC with BFF Kendall Jenner and many others.
Attended Her First Met Gala
By this point, Hadid was no stranger to the red carpet. But attending your first Met Gala is still a big deal. She showed up in a gorgeous rose-embellished red gown designed by Diane von Furstenberg to embody the China-themed event.
