Lady Gaga And Starbucks Have Created Two New Drinks For An Awesome Cause

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation has partnered with Starbucks to promote positivity in the world.

Between this year’s Superbowl performance, her latest raw and totally relateable album, and her fearless attitude toward standing up for what she believes in—one would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t think Lady Gaga is already fabulous. But the queen of poker faces, herself, is managing to take the word “cool” to an entirely new level this summer with two brand-new Starbucks drinks and an incredibly noble cause to go along with them.
Coffee mega-chain Starbucks has officially partnered with Lady Gaga and her Born This Way Foundation to announce their Cups of Kindness collection. Judging by fans’ reacations, this means that the unicorn frappucino in all of it’s glory wasn’t Starbucks’ peak!

Between now and Monday, June 19, if we buy one of these new drinks, Starbucks will donate $0.25 from each purchase to Gaga’s Foundation that supports programs dedicated to youth wellness, empowerment, the fostering of kindness, and improving mental health resources. And while we’re totally loving the cause, we’re also obsessed with the fact that we’ve got an even better excuse to stop by the ‘bucks on our way to work every day this week.

The limited-edition collection includes four drinks. Two of them, the Pink Drink and the Ombre Pink Drink, are already offered on Starbucks’ menu, while the Matcha Lemonade and the Violet Drink have never been available before now.
Starbucks starts the Matcha Lemonade beverage with finely ground Teavana matcha green tea, and combines it with lemonade. The mixture is shaken with ice, and the end result is slightly sweet and incredibly refreshing start to your summer.

The second new drink, called the Violet Drink, uses blackberries and Starbucks’ Very Berry Hibiscus Refreshers that give it a more tart taste than the first beverage. The two ingredients are swirled to together with coconut milk and ice for a tasty result. (And check out how gorgeous that color is!)
Matcha Lemonade clocks in at $2.95 for a tall, $3.45 for a grande and $3.95 for a venti. Violet Drink costs $3.85, $4.35 and $4.85, respectively.

The Pink Drink, which joined Starbuck’s official menu in April, is a Strawberry Acai Refresher made with coconut milk instead of water. The beverage costs $4.45 for a tall, and $4.95 and $5.45 for the larger sizes.

The Ombre Pink Drink combines the Cool Lime Starbucks Refreshers with coconut milk and a splash of Teavana’s Shaken Iced Passion Tango Tea, and sets the buyer back $3.85 for a tall, $4.35 for a grande and $4.85 for a venti.

Don’t miss out on this chance to make a positive difference in the world while simultaneously sipping on a crisp, cool beverage. Let’s all make Lady G proud.

“We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect,” said Lady Gaga in the press release. “Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection.”
