The Exact Products Lucy Boynton’s Makeup Artist Used for Her Perfectly ’60s Oscars Look
by Caroline Harris
Lucy Boynton rocked a retro look on the 2020 Oscars red carpet. From her Twiggy-inspired lashes to her lived-in bob, the star looked straight out of the Swinging Sixties. A statement lip and pearl hair accessories furthered the vintage vibe.
Naturally, fans flipped when they saw Boynton ruling the Oscars red carpet with boyfriend Rami Malek at her side. The lovebirds met while filming Bohemian Rhapsody in London. They’ve been a power couple ever since, stepping out in coordinating outfits and gushing about each other in interviews. At the Oscars, Boynton wore a monochromatic Chanel dress with bow detailing. Malek matched The Politician actress in a black double-breasted tux.
While Boynton’s dress was fabulous, our eyes were glued to her ’60s makeup. Lately, Millennial actresses from AnnaSophia Robb to Sophie Turner have been turning to the ‘60s for beauty inspo. The looks they’re loving include cat-eyes, floating liner, spider-like lashes and pastel hues. Blunt bobs and baby bangs are officially in. Pearls and headbands continue to have a moment.
Because ‘60s style is totally fun, it’s no wonder Boynton chose to represent the colorful decade. Also at the Oscars, Billie Eilish performed a moving cover of The Beatles’ “Yesterday.” Clearly, celebrities are full of nostalgia for ‘60s makeup, music and fashion.
Boynton’s makeup artist, Jo Baker, shared the exact products she used to create Boynton’s beauty moment on Instagram. She prepped Boynton’s face with Weleda Skin Food, then used all Chanel products to create the rest of the look.
