1. Big Little Lies
This upcoming HBO comedy-drama stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley as single moms who live seemingly perfect lives. As tales unfold, the three mothers find themselves taking on ex-husbands, second wives, and dangerous white lies that lead to much bigger scandals. Look for the star-studded series premiere on February 19!
2. Santa Clarita Diet
If you're a fan of blood and gore, Drew Barrymore's new horror-comedy Netflix series migth be for you. Barrymore stars as a real estate agent alongside her husband, played by Timothy Olyphant, in Santa Clarita, California. However, the couple and their children must go through a transformation period when Barrymore ends up becoming a zombie who feeds off of humans. The series premiered on Netflix on February 3, and while absolutely hilarious, we recommend not eating a big meal before watching.
3. The Handmaid's Tale
Based off of the books by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale is set in the dystopian society of Gilead, or what was formerly known as the United States. In an effort to turn around the plunging birthrates, many women are forced into sexual servitude to repopulate the world. The Hulu series tells of Elizabeth Moss's (Offred) terrifying struggles and her attempt to survive and find the daughter that was taken from her. We're sorry for the tease, but you'll have to wait until April 26 on Hulu to find out the rest.
4. Riverdale
This modern reboot of the Archie Comics changes the game. As the first episode says, "Archie got hot." In between the teenage struggles of navigating school, sex, love, and family, Archie and his friends find themselves entrenched in the pits of a murder mystery that has shaken the town. The Netflix-exclusive series premiered last month, giving us new episodes each week, and we already can't wait for the next one!
5. Feud: Bette and Joan
This upcoming FX series tells the story of the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford (played by Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (played by Susan Sarandon) on the set of the Academy Award-nominated What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? The series navigates their trials and struggles of hanging onto their individual successes in the midst of ageism, sexism, and misogyny. Check out its premiere on March 5 on FX.
6. Emerald City
While this particular series might not have you skipping down the yellow brick road, NBC's Emerald City takes a twist on the beloved classic and shows a darker size of Oz, and a much fiestier Dorothy, than we've ever encountered before. This modern reimagining brings action, romance, and thrill that you won't want to miss! Tune into NBC on Fridays at 9 Eastern.
7. One Day At A Time
The Netflix-exclusive series shows the ups and downs and everyday life of three generations of a Cuban-American family living under the same roof. Newly divorced and military veteran mother Penelope Alvarez (played by Justina Machado) learns how to be a single mom through the teenage years of her children while accompanied by her old-school mother. Hilarious and heart-warming all at the same time, this one should definitely be on your list of must-watch shows this year. All the episodes are already available on Netflix, so you might want to call in sick the rest of the day.
8. STAR
This story follows the lives of three struggling singers who are desperate for a chance at fame. Queen Latifah stars in this series that will tug at your heart strings as the women navigate through the pain of their pasts and try to build an entirely new future. Watch every Wednesday at 9 Eastern on FOX.
9. The Good Fight
After an enormous financial scam destroys the reputation of a young lawyer, in addition to wiping out her extremely successful mentor and godmother's entire life savings, we follow the aftermath, the scandals, and all of the drama that results. Find the show on CBS All Access starting February 19.
10. Still Star-Crossed
Following one of our favorite love stories of all time, Still Star-Crossed picks up immediately where Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet ends. Spoiler alert: the Montagues and Capulets have most definitely not settled their differences. While an official release date hasn't yet been announced, it's set to premiere early this year on ABC.
