You wouldn’t trade your mother for anything—I mean, she helped you grow into the awesome person you are today. But you can’t deny some of these popular television moms would make pretty good backups.

Ah, TV. Sure we could go outside or be productive, but is there really anything more satisfying than putting your feet up and flipping on that magical box? We all have our top shows, but let’s take a minute to appreciate the family-oriented series, and more specifically, the moms that make them so great. From our childhood favorites to our current obsessions, here are 14 of the best TV moms.

Snow White, Once Upon A Time
Okay, so she did send her only daughter to another world through a magic tree, but hey Snow will always do what she thinks is best for her kids. And really what more could you ask of your mom?

Although Lizzie’s mom does some downright embarrassing things, she is always there to help. Like when she guided Lizzie’s first bra shopping experience or saved her from an inappropriate party. Yeah, we sure wouldn’t have minded Mrs. McGuire around while we maneuvered the social stress of middle school.
