The drama between these two is nowhere near an end.
Yeezy is King when it comes to crossing lines. Especially when it comes to Taylor Swift. Everyone was under the illusion that the duo had made amends. Undoubtedly there was some serious beef amongst the two after the 2009 VMAs, when West interrupted Swift on stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Music Video. Since then, the artists seemed to have made peace. In fact, they both took on the VMA stage again, in August of last year, and Swift present West with the critically acclaimed Video Vanguard Award.
Now, what seems to be out of the blue, Yeezy included some insulting lyrics about Swift in his new song ‘Famous’. And people are not having it. “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous,” The rapper, 38 brags. Swift’s publicist told Buzzfeed News the West had approached Swift about promoting ‘Famous’, to which the singer said no. At that point she wean’t even aware of the lyrics aimed at her.
West livestreamed his highly anticipated studio album, The Life of Pablo, yesterday at his sold out fashion show in Madison Square Garden. The album features several popular vocalists including Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper and Rihanna.
On the bright side, as always, members from T-Swift’s girl squad proved that they have her back. Gigi Hadid and Ruby Rose do not have a problem laying down the law for West. Both the stars tweeted the following in their friend’s defense:
Too many lines crossed. If I put myself in the shoes of the women he has hurt recently. Victims of Bill Cosby, The Slut shaming, Amber…

And now my dear friend Taylor.. Right before another huge moment for her.. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.

My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing there. My friends know of my loyalty.
