The ‘Mean Girls’ Musical Is Coming, And It’s Going To Be So Fetch
The stage adaption of the hit movie is set for Fall 2017. Does life get better?
UPDATE: On October 3, 2017, exactly one year following the original announcement, the Mean Girls musical will premiere at D.C.'s National Theatre—because let's be real, no other date could do it justice. We know that the choreographer and co-director of Book of Mormon Casey Nicholaw will be directing the musical. The cast members haven't been announced, but considering they should be starting development come springtime, we have a feeling it won't be long! Stay tuned!
If you totally missed every Mean Girls meme, gif, and Aaron Samuels photo (God bless) on October 3rd, we're just going to assume you live under a rock. And if that really is the case, then you probably also missed the official announcement of a Mean Girls musical coming to Washington D.C. in 2017! Pretty grool, huh?
While comedian and creator of the original film, Tina Fey hinted at a musical adaptation earlier this year, the Facebook and Twitter accounts for Mean Girls announced on Monday that the plans were official.

Fey along with her husband, composer Jeffrey Richmond and Tony-Award nominee Nell Benjamin who worked on Legally Blonde The Musical will be combining their talents for this project. The cast and official debut date are promised to be revealed later on.
We're positive Gretchen Weiners would agree that this musical is sure to be so fetch.
