Rihanna low-key avoids Drake's attempt to kiss her on national TV, and people just won't let it go.

Rihanna surprised fans at Drake's Miami stop on his Sweet Sixteen tour by joining him on stage to perform and, then, share a kiss — on the lips this time. The liplock seems to confirm that the two BFF singing partners are dating. This news comes less than an day after Entertainment Weekly reported the duo were spotted "kissing" and "getting very touchy feely" at a Miami nightclub. Best of luck to this super hot couple.

For years, the world had speculated about the undeniable chemistry in Drake and Rihanna's steamy duets. Those rumors were given more fire around MTV's Video Music Awards, but Rihanna seemed to take a stance that the two were just BFF.

Drizzy created a billboard ad on behalf of himself and OVO, congratulating RiRi on her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award that he was scheduled to present her with at the VMAs, fueling speculation that the two were more than friends.

The award has previously been presented to Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and David Bowie — so such a cute gesture was definitely in order. Even Rihanna approved and shared it to her Instagram.

As if that wasn't enough, the "One Dance" singer took things up a notch when he practically professed his love for RiRi, on live television, before presenting her with the award. "She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," he said. "She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me."

The Toronto rapper conveyed similar emotions in a long speech — seemingly at the brink of tears.

Toward the end, Rihanna very low-key, respectfully friend zoned her admirer by presenting him with her cheek as he tried to go in for a kiss on the lips. Twitter users, of course, could not get over the moment, some (wrongfully) shaming RiRi for rejecting Drake's advance and others just poking fun at the awkward situation. It's tough that Drake was seemingly made a sidepiece once again, but Rihanna is a grown woman who isn't required to be interested in someone back, just because they publicly admire her.
