You’ll Never Believe Who Will Be on This Season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’
In a bold move, the show recruited an Olympic outcast and a top name Republican to the competition.
What do a failed presidential candidate, a scandal-starting Olympian, and Kayne's ex-girlfriend all have in common?
They're all about to be the reason we clear our Monday night schedules again. ABC's 23rd season of Dancing With the Stars premieres on Monday, September 12, and the list of celebs released Tuesday morning pulls from nearly all possible corners of fame. It is every bit as odd and assorted as ever.
Former Texas governor (and the aforementioned presidential candidate), Rick Perry, Olympians Ryan Lochte and Laurie Hernandez, and model, actress, and ex-girlfriend of Yeezy himself Amber Rose, will join 2016's lineup, alongside a beloved Brady Bunch actress (See: "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia"), retired athletes, rappers, and more.
Good Morning America, which revealed the anticipated Dancing With the Stars list this morning, also interviewed Olympian and fake-Rio-robbery-victim, Ryan Lochte, who expressed his excitement and hope of a new beginning in the upcoming challenge.
"I just want to move forward and … put on my dancing shoes. At least try to," said the 12-time Olympic medalist.
Whether you tune in to watch some incredible dance moves and transformations, or if you're one that prefers to enjoy the slightly entertaining mishaps that tend to happen each week, we're confident that the following list of celebs will provide plenty of fun for the upcoming season.
The list of Monday night stars include:
Jake T. Austin
Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds
While DWTS definitely makes it easier to get through our Monday workdays, knowing that Lochte finally got rid of that blue hair actually helps even more.
