Game of Thrones’ favorite strongman has a softer—and fluffier—side.
Even the most casual Game of Thrones fan knows “The Mountain.” Impossibly tall, infamously brutal, and now eerily silent, Gregor Clegane is responsible for some of the most violent scenes in the show. But Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays The Mountain in seasons four, five, and six, has a bit of a sensitive side. The professional strongman recently acquired a tiny Pomeranian puppy named Asterix! And they are so cute together.
Björnsson is so big! And Asterix is so small! Björnsson is so tattooed! And Asterix is so fluffy! We could watch this unlikely pair play all day, but we’ll settle for watching their adorable Insta-videos. Just watch the tiny pom fight off a mighty lion.
