Zac Efron’s New Nail Art Is For A Seriously Fantastic Cause
One in every five children will face either physical or sexual violence before the age of 18, and these celebs are joining the fight against it.
Our favorite male heartthrobs (we're looking at you Zac Efron) are joining up with the Polished Man organization to bring awareness to physical and sexual violence in children by painting their nails… well, one nail at least.
Thanks for the nom, @chrishemsworth. Happy to paint one nail and be a @PolishedMan this month to say no to violence against children. 1 in 5 children are subject to physical and/or sexual violence before the age of 18 and that’s one too many. Find out how you can help/donate at http://polishedman.com. I nominate the following studs @james_marsden, @thehughjackman, @andybovine, @ders808, @blakeanderson and @deandrejordan6 to become a #polishedman. #nailittoENDit
One in five children will experience some sort of abuse even before turning 18. Polished Man is on a mission to raise money for this cause by asking men to post photos of themselves with one painted fingernail using the hashtag #PolishedMan, and the social media world (of course!) is not coming up short. Average Joes, celebrities, and even some big-name brands are supporting the campaign. With hearts that seem to match their ridiculously good looks, two of the Hemsworth brothers even opted to join in on the cause! (You're welcome in advance, BTW.)
I'm a @YGAP #polishedman Being a @PolishedMan isn't just about remembering to buy flowers, how many rounds you shout, or how much you lift. It's about saying no to violence against children. That's why this October I'm painting my nail and asking you to donate to help the 1 in 5 kids globally who are subjected to physical or sexual violence before they turn 18. And I nominate @liamhemsworth @zacefron @robertdowneyjr @renner4real @markruffalo @twhiddleston nail it to end it. Become a polished man here www.polishedman.com @auschildhood , thanks to @laurapanton
Thanks @chrishemsworth happy to also be a @polishedman and paint a nail this month to say NO to violence against children. 1 in 5 kids globally are subjected to physical or sexual violence before they turn 18. I nominate @hemsworthluke @kellyslater and @jimmyfallon find out more and how to help/donate at http://polishedman.com @auschildhood #polishedman
Pretty Little Liars star, Tyler Blackburn is also giving a thumbs-up to supporting the mission with a (dare we say, dreamy?) Insta selfie.
Having the backing of celebs who continue to nominate each other to get involved is helping the initiative reach people on a global scale as it runs through the entire month of October.
We're excited to see how far this campaign can go and how much money can be raised for this important cause over the next few weeks, but so far the people involved have absolutely nailed it.
