Melissa McCarthy has had quite a busy schedule lately. Amidst launching her new clothing line and starring in the upcoming comedy The Boss, McCarthy managed to take some time and stop by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. While promoting her new film, she also went head to head against Fallon in a lip sync battle. And she took it to the next level. "I'm pretty freaked out about crushing you", McCarthy, 45, told Fallon before confidently taking the stage.
While the Tonight Show host kicked off round 1 to Melanie's "Brand New Key", McCarthy took the crowd by surprise with her rendition of DMX's "X Gon' Give It To Ya". She was totally in character (snapback and all), and busted some seriously sick moves. Though threatened by his opponent, even Fallon couldn't help but smile at the epic performance.
As if round one wasn't exciting enough, Fallon started round two with Zayn Malik's "Pillowtalk". He even brought a pillow to use as a prop! But that was nothing compared to what McCarthy had in store. She graced the stage with a pair of safety goggles and announced that she would be performing "Colors of the Wind" from Disney's Pocahontas soundtrack.
Her performance begins and it quickly becomes apparent why she needed to wear goggles in the first place. Thanks to the studio wind machine, leaves, trash, bird feathers and even stuffed animals started flying towards her. Unfazed, the actress continued to mouth the lyrics to the infamous Disney song. And of course, the crowd went wild.
