We've been following, and totally enthralled with, Gabrielle Union's style for years now (who could forget her days as a Clovers cheerleader?), and today, August 16, finally launches the Being Mary Jane star's debut into the design world. The actress officially launched her 21-piece collection for New York and Company, and it's incredibly chic. Even better? It's super affordable.
To buy: Long Floral Kimono, New York and Company, $129.95
Back in March, Union was announced as the face of New York and Company's 7th Avenue collection, which eventually led to designing Gabrielle Union for New York and Company. She spent months teasing images of the line via social media, and now that the collection is finally released and we get to see her high-end, eclectic pieces in real life, our wallets are more than ready.
To buy: Stitched Sweater Dress, New York and Company, $74.95
To buy: Short Kimono, New York and Company, $89.95
The line has a little bit of everything. From tops and dresses to body suits and statement-making outerwear, the sizes range from 0 to 20, but the majority of items are priced under $100, making it totally affordable for the majority of her fan base, too—something that was incredibly important to the star.
She told Glamour, "Trying to create a line that's accessible for a lot of people, to working women, was important to me. I care, I'm listening."
To buy: Long-Sleeve Dress, New York and Company, $79.95
And while she's here to save our wallets, she's interested in solving our other wardrobe woes as well by providing pieces that are easy to rock from day-to-night in fabrics that flatter all body types while still being comfortable to wear. This varietal collection represents Union's personal approach to her wardrobe.
"Some days I want to be the fly, super-glam girl; some days, I want to look more chic." she told Glamour. "Some days I want to give you street style that's comfortable and that I can rock with sneakers--and all of that is okay."
To buy: "Fire" Sweater, New York and Company, $59.95
You can shop Gabrielle Union's latest collection on New York & Company's website. But stay tuned: this line is only the first of a series of capsules we're expecting from her this year, so there's definitely more where these came from.
