The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has made it clear several times that she wants another child, but her doctors have warned her about the health risks of carrying another baby on her own. This is because she suffered from placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows into the wall of the womb and prevents it from easily detaching at the time of birth, during her last pregnancy, and it can truly be life-threatening if she were to become pregnant again.
However, that didn't seem to stop the 36-year-old's desire for a larger family, and being the victim of a robbery during Paris Fashion Week last October only made that urge grow stronger.
"I've gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel like it's safe for me to conceive again myself," Kardashian said on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that aired in March. "I want my kids to have siblings and I want to know that I did everything that I could to make this happen."
Kim even had uterine surgery at one point to make it possible for her to have a child naturally, but even after ther procedure, doctors told her that she couldn't safely carry a baby anymore.
"I think that I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn't think it was that realistic of an option," Kardashian said on KUWTK in April. "Now, I feel like that's my reality. I feel like surrogacy really is the only other option for me."
To be totally honest, we are stoked for another member of this great looking clan. And while we don't know who will be carrying the child as of yet (if it's a sister, someone she knows, etc.) we'll definitely be updating with more information as we hear it!
