SWAT Team Standoff with Chris Brown Following a 911 Call from Woman Threatened at Gunpoint

Police found weapons and drugs at troubled rapper Chris Brown's house after responding to a woman's 911 call alleging the performer threatened her at gunpoint.

UPDATE: Chris Brown was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, following a day-long standoff with the Los Angeles police department. After refusing to exit his residence, police served a search warrant in the afternoon. He was later released on bail.

Model Baylee Curran has spoken out, according to Mashable, saying she was the woman who alleges Brown threatened her at gunpoint. She claims she was hanging out at Brown's house with another man, when something "triggered" Brown as they looked at jewelry, and he held both people at gunpoint. No one else has been arrested.

SWAT teams are currently in a standoff with Chris Brown at the R&B singer's Los Angeles home. Early Tuesday morning police say they received a 911 call from a woman who alleges Brown threatened her at gunpoint.

According to TIME, L.A. police arrived at the home around 3 a.m. to find a woman crying and pleading for help, saying that Brown pulled a gun on her. The Associated Press reports that officers are awaiting a search warrant to enter Brown's home. For his part, Brown has remained inside the home, egging on police with a series of angry Instagram video posts.

"I'm tired of this shit. I am a father. I am one of the best entertainers out here," he says in one video.

"I'm not coming out. For what? I ain't did shit. I ain't gona do shit. F*ck the police," he continues. "Good luck, when you get the warrant or whatever you need to do, you gonna walk right up in here and you gonna see nothing, you idiots."

Police did, however, find guns and other weapons along with drugs in a duffel bag Brown tossed out the window of his house.

This isn't the first time, of course, that Brown has collided with the police. In 2009, Brown plead guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on their way to the Grammy Awards. The singer was arrested again in 2013 for assault after throwing homophobic slurs and punches at male fans who jumped in a picture with him. Because the arrest violated his probation after his crime against Rihanna, he was sentenced to one year in jail. Frank Ocean and Drake have both been involved in altercations with Brown, though charges have not been filed.
